Youth Ministry Revival
** Save The Date! ** The Youth Ministry Revival happens March 1-3, 2019 at Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church in Bethesda, MD.
Register for the Youth Ministry Revival Today. Deadline is February 8th.
Youth Ministry Revivals (YMR) are weekend-long events that seek to inspire, innovate and celebrate Unitarian Universalist youth ministry. This year's theme is Answering the Call of Love. Get ready to:
Experience. . .
Dynamic and interactive worship
Inspiring and innovative workshops
Explore . . .
Spiritual practices for centering, healing and resiliency
What it means to live UU in the world
Build. . .
Relationships with youth and adult leaders from across the country
Deeper intercultural understanding
Developed in collaboration by the UUA’s Youth Ministry Roundtable and traveling around the country, no two YMRs will be exactly the same as we incorporate the local culture, invite in community partners, and continually adapt to our current social and political climate. What is consistent in every YMR is a dedicated and diverse staff of youth and adults, both professional and lay-leaders - ministers, educators, organizers, artists, enthusiasts and aspirants who come from all over the country to share their gifts and help make the magic.
Who Should Attend?
Youth Ministry Revivals (YMRs) are experiments in team-based learning. Although it is not required, we encourage congregations to send youth and adult teams. YMRs are focused on the development level, needs and interests of high school aged youth. Youth in grades 9th-12th can attend with adult sponsors 25 years or older. Up to 5 youth may attend with one sponsor. Emerging adults (ages 18-24 years old) may attend as mentors and an important part of our multigenerational community. Emerging adults will follow the same code of conduct as other adults. Youth and sponsors will stay on-site, emerging adults will stay off site.
Registration and Cost
Registration fees will be accepted on a sliding scale from $80 to $140, please pay what you are able. If this is your first experience within the Central East Region, you will be asked to read the Behavioral Expectations and Event Procedures and Requirements as part of the registration process.
