Hundreds of UU congregations have Climate Action Teams or Green Sanctuary teams, and yet the monthly calls to support these teams only have approximately a dozen participants per month. I believe we can do better to support and build this network! SO - this is an experiment and an attempt to expand our reach and increase our organizing potential through relationship- and network-building at numerous geographic scales.

(Note: the geographic-descriptors used are somewhat US+Canada-centered, however efforts will be made to support interest in participation from people/teams in other countries as well!)

HOW:

1) STATE/PROVINCIAL- LEVEL CALL in November 2019 ---  This is a form for indicating that you are interested in volunteering to convene the first call for UU climate activists and members of UU Climate Action Teams/Green Sanctuaries in your state/province, in AUGUST 2019.  Outreach support and a facilitation guide will be provided for you by UU Ministry for Earth and other participating organizations.

2) REGION/NATION-LEVEL CALL in December 2019 --- Each participating State/Province will select 1 to 3 representatives who are committed to attend and speak on behalf of their state/province-level circle at the regional Roundtable calls (or this would also be the National Roundtable for countries other than the US) . These calls would be publicized and open for any person in that region to attend, however only the selected representatives would speak for the first portion of the call.

3) DENOMINATION/INTERNATIONAL-LEVEL CALL in January 2019 --- Each participating Region/Nation will select 1 to 3 representatives who are committed to attend and speak on behalf of their region/nation-level circle at the denomination/international-level call. These calls would be publicized and open for any U/U to attend, however only the selected representatives of UU organizations and region/nation-level circles would speak for the first portion of the call.

Roundtable Calls would continue in this fashion, alternating monthly between the state/province (August, November, February, May) -- region/nation (September, December, March, June) -- and denomination/international levels (October, January, April, July) with 4 calls at each scale per year. These dates are subject to change based upon experimentation and dialogue among participating parties!
