About the Service

The Synergy Bridging Service is our annual worship at the UUA’s General Assembly to honor those transitioning from youth to young adulthood.

Bridgers (youth transitioning to young adulthood): please sign up on the newsprint in the back corner of the GA Youth room, with your name and home congregation.

  1. You must report to the Main stage at 6:30pm for a brief walkthrough/rehearsal.
  2. Please be dressed in worship attire, knowing you will be sitting on stage during the service.
  3. Enjoy yourself!! What a wonderful day and congratulations!

After the service, we’ll have a reception/hang out with the young adults in the Young Adult room (right next door to the Youth Room).

Who's a "Bridger"?

Overall, it’s someone who’s transitioning to young adulthood, however that means for the individual. Often that’s meant someone at the end of 12th grade or the homeschool equivalent. But for other folks, other milestones (starting a job, leaving a home community) might be more relevant. We trust you to name and claim this moment of transition.

May the gathered community at this year's virtual General Assembly honor this rich and complicated moment, and in turn, commit and re-commit to creating a more multigenerational Unitarian Universalism.
